Log Horizon: The Captured Assassin

Elder Tale, it's a massive highly popular MMO played by thousands of gamers. On May 3rd, 2018 the event known as Apocalypse happened trapping it's thousands of online players in the game making it real as life. Since then the players fell in despair being stuck in such an event and it lead to a rise of crooked bandits and those who did anything to have control over the weak. Now as a lone man and his small band of followers hope to bring light, the darkness will fight back to keep its control on the dreary world.

In one of the side streets of Akihabara, some men wearing dark blue cloaks wearing head gear that obscured everything but their mouths and wore black shirts with dark tan pants and black boots under the cloaks gathered and looked unhappy.

"About time you got here Haseo." One of them with a sneer.

"Shut it Kirito." He replied back to the man. "Crim here gave me the wrong time."

"I did not you slacker." Crim shot back.

"Shut it both of you." Kirito said. "As the leader of the Ouroboros I call to order the meeting up the tri-rulers. Now, I assume you've heard the rumors?"

"About Villain in Glasses doing something big?" Crim asked.

"Villain in Glasses, Shiroe of the former Debauchery Tea Party. What could a devilish man like him be planning?" Haseo asked with concern in his tone.

"My sources says he aims to take control of this city if not the entire area. If he let him be we are sure to lose our power and be driven from this city." Kirito said also worried.

"We can't let that happen, we must do something!" Crim said as Kirito held up his hand in a snapping position.

"I have something in mind, but it's risky. You should know of his group by now which has formed the new guild Log Horizon right?"

"Yeah, that big dumb guardian, some big purple cat and that pint size assassin." Haseo said.

"I feel that assassin is the weakest link of them all. We capture her and we're sure to bring Shiroe to his knees and make us apart of his plan." Kirito said with a smirk.

"But how do we take on an Assassin?" Crim asked as they were no match for someone like that.

"Fight fire with fire of course." Kirito said with a smirk as he snapped his finger. Soon after a tall slim female with dark red hair wearing a black face mask with a small black top with dark blue pants with black boots appeared.

"This is Yuffie, an assassin for hire." Kirito said with a smirk.

"Whoa hot st-" Crim began to say before the female vanish in a blur and appeared in front of him with a knife to his throat. "Gaahh!" He cried out as he could feel the cold steel right against his neck.

"Watch out, she has a temper." Kirito said with a smirk. "Now enough playing around, you know your mission. Go and complete it." He said as Yuffie nodded and vanished into the shadows without a sound.

"Can she do it?" Haseo asked.

"Pack your bags if she doesn't." Kirito said as they ended their meeting and high on the moon light roof tops Yuffie zoom across them looking for her target, the right hand of Shiroe, Akatsuki.

Akatsuki whose character had purple eyes and hair that she ties up in a ponytail. Her clothing consisted of a sleeveless purple top, purple arm warmers, brown pants and purple boots. She was currently patrolling an area on the outside of town at Shiroe's request after hearing a disturbance report.

"Hmmm, no one around. Was it a fake?" She wondered as Yuffie had quickly found her and appeared a few feet away from Akatsuki from behind with a large thick stick in hand. She rushed forward to strike Akatsuki with it which the tiny assassin didn't hear Yuffie approach.

Yuffie would have been able to strike her with ease if it wasn't for the fact a tiny stick on the ground was in her path and the second she step on the stick it made a snap sound. The sound made Akatsuki leap away as Yuffie growled in annoyance as she was out of reach of a simple attack.

"Who are you?" Akatsuki asked holding up her arms in a defensive stance as drawing her weapon would active the town's anti fight system.

Yuffie took a stance of her own, not replying to Akatsuki as she ready to swing again. Akatsuki looked her over and noticed the stick she was holding was a special item.

"The branch of Chloro? Where did you get that?" Akatsuki asked as the branch was a digital world version of chloroform.

"For an assassin, you talk too much." Yuffie said in a low tone irritating Akatsuki and before she could give the tiny female a chance to move Yuffie leap forward swinging the branch at her.

"This won't work!" Akatsuki said as she kept dodging the hits and when she finally saw an opening she kicked her leg out at Yuffie which connected but it made her whole form vanish. "Doppelganger?!" Akatsuki cried out as Yuffie was now behind her and tap her head with the stick. "N-no."

A warm light enveloped Akatsuki as she felt her eyes getting heavy and her form waved. She used all her strength to resist the sleep effect and tried to run but only ended up falling on the ground.

"M-Master." She groaned out before she passed out.

"Hmph." Yuffie said not impressed by her as she picked Akatsuki up by her waist and vanished with her into the night.

Kirito and Yuffie were walking towards a large shed that was currently locked up.

"I hope you took the right measures?" He asked as he unlocked the door.

"Yes." Yuffie said making Kirito grin as he opened the door and inside on her knees was Akatsuki which rope wrapped above and below her breasts with more of it binding her wrists, thighs, knees and ankles. To keep her silent a dark blue cloth was wrapped over her mouth making it so she couldn’t speak or use any communication abilities.

"Mrprm!" She grunted as her gave a cold angry stare.

"My my, with a look like that you could almost kill someone." Kirito said laughing.

"Mrmrrpm!"  Akatsuki grunted again as she struggled a little pleasing her captors.

"Heheheh, with you here Shiroe will have no choice but do as I say. Now be a good little girl and stay put." He said as he and Yuffie left the shed locking the door behind them.

"Rrrrmrpmr." Akatsuki growled lowly as she wouldn't stay put and began to scan the dark shed for anything she could use. Out of the corner of her eye she spied an old rusted hoe farm tool hidden among some straw. Wiggling herself over to it, she kicked the straw away with her legs and pulled the hoe out with her bound arms more and got a better look at it.

It was old and rusted but she began to saw the rope binding her wrists against it, using all her might to force the ropes on the rusted blade to make them snap.

"Rrrhgngn." She groan as it seem like forever she had been sawing her arms against the blade and could feel her arms growing numb. Despite the growing annoyance she couldn't let her master down and kept working at it for another hour before she finally herd the blissful sound of the rope snapping.

With her wrists free she was able to work her arms just right to loosen the rest of the rope freeing upper body and she finally reached up and pulled off her gag and then untied her legs.

"Those pigs will pay." She promised as she stood up and went over to the door and using a lock picking item she managed to unlock the door. "Payback time." She said as she stepped outside and no sooner did she do it that a large magical circle appeared below her. "A trap!" She cried out as she felt a powerful shock race through her body.

"Gaaghh!" She cried out in pain as the shock left her numb and she fell to her knees before crumpling to the ground with her body flinching. Hearing footsteps she slowly raised her head up to see Yuffie walk towards her who wagged her finger at Akatsuki angering her more.

“Whats going on?” Kirito said as he, Crim and Haseo raced to scene and using all her might Akatsuki looked at the three men as long as she could.

“Just a minor annoyance.” Yuffie said pulling out the Chloro stick and used it on Akatsuki who passed out even quicker thanks to the paralyze effect on her body.

"She got free?" Kirito said as Haseo and Crim went over and dragged her back inside.

"Yes." Yuffie said with a nod of her head.

"Well the meeting is about to happen, get her ready and ensure she doesn't escape this time. After that your contract is done." Kirito said as Yuffie nodded and grabbed more rope with another dark blue cloth and retied Akatsuki and this time much tighter.

Shiroe, a man with dark blue hair wearing glasses and a white cloak walked towards a wide open area with tall buildings surrounding them. Pushing up his glasses he looked the area over and noticed three dark shadows approaching which the shadows were quickly shown to be the three members of the Ouroboros guild. Behind them they dragged Akatsuki who was bound and gagged like before and the sight of her like that angered Shiroe.

"Welcome Shiroe, it's an honor to meet someone famous like you." Kirito said with a light chuckle.

Shiroe glared at each of them and though he looked for a name on their ID indicator there was nothing but a blank line.

"Who might I be talking to?" He asked calmly.

"You can just call me Leader, I feel like giving you my name would be dangerous." He said with a chuckle.

"Rrmrpmr! Rmrmprm! Rmrpmrprm!!" Akatsuki grunted three times as she struggled a little.

"Quiet you!" Crim told her wanting to kick her hard.

"That's a boring name." Shiroe said pushing up his glasses. "So why did you go through the trouble of kidnapping Akatsuki?" He inquired.

"We've herd of your plans Villain in Glasses. First you will tell us everything about it and then depending what it is we'll go from there." Kirito said.

"And you better not try anything fun." Haseo said as they revealed their duel swords.

"You're all swashbucklers I see, you would be tricky to fight on in a fair fight." Shiroe said as he analyzed the situation.

"That's right, now spill it!" Kirito demanded as they held a blade to Akatsuki's neck.

"If you kill her you lose your only hostage and she will be revived in the nearby cathedral." Shiroe pointed out.

"That's what you think, we placed a hidden item on her that will send her to a random cathedral upon her death. She may end up here or someplace very dangerous. Who knows?" Haseo said with a laugh.

"Hidden item?" Shiroe said surprised.

"That's right, if she's lucky maybe she will be sent to Susukino." They laughed lowly.

"Hrhprm." Akatsuki moan a little fearful as that was one area she or anyone was welcomed at.

"Then I suppose we better end this ruse right now." Shiroe said as he held up his staff.

"Ruse? What are you planning?" Crim demanded to know as there was a bright flash behind them and Akatsuki was suddenly completely free from her bonds. "The hell?" Crim said shocked before she hit each of them with a paralyzing attack sending them falling to the ground.

"What, what’s going on?" Kirito asked with a shocked expression.

"In my quest to purify the city of Akihabara from people like you from the underworld trade. I had to somehow gain all the info on your little infamous guild Ouroboros. I've had Akatsuki spy on you for a few days now and you always had your name obscured. So I advised a simple plan of Akatsuki being captured and hope you lower your guard so she could see your names and once brought to this meeting she would grunt three times to confirm she had your names." Shiroe explained.

"N-no!" Kirito cried out as Akatsuki join Shiroe’s side.

"Master, I have their names. It's Kirito, Crim and Haseo." She said angering the men.

“What about that hidden item?” He asked with concern.

“There is no hidden item, it was just a bluff.” Akatsuki said making Shiroe chuckle a little.

"Way to go Shiroe." Naotsugu said approaching him as he was another right hand man of Shiroe's who was clad in large armor. "You didn't even need my help." He said with a grin as he looked at Akatsuki. "And good work as well, and boy did you look hot tie-Gaaaaaaahhhhhh!" He cried out as a kick from Akatsuki sent him flying into a nearby wall hard.

"Master, may I have permission to kick the pervert in the face?" Akatsuki asked Shiroe.

"At, at least let me finish." Naotsugu said slowly climbing out of the rubble.

"Oh boy." Shiroe said with a sigh.

"What is your plan Shiroe?" Kirito demanded to know as Naotsugu came over and gathered them up.

"I plan to control the guilds in a way that will bring peace to this land. Nothing more." He said as a dark aura surrounded him.

"So, this is the Villain in Glasses, how dark." Kirito thought frighten as his crew was carted off.

"Now that's settled, Nyanta should be raiding their hideout for more info. Since this was successful now we can move onto the final part." Shiroe said pushing up his glasses.

"Master, may I leave for a bit? I still have unfinished business with their hired assassin." Akatsuki requested.

"Do as you wish, don't cause any trouble though." He said as Akatsuki vanished without a trace.

"Just wait a little longer, you two." Shiroe said with compassion thinking about Minori and Touya as he walked off.
